Leading up to the premier performance of the Hamlet Voyage which was shown on board the dragon ship in Sierra Leone in 1607, I ran series of workshops at the Trinity Community Centre, schools and at the harbour festival. Its a new play about the first record of Shakespeare being performed outside Europe, a production of Hamlet, acted by sailors in 1607 for West African dignitaries, during the first Voyage to reach Mughal India. The touring of the play start today in London, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Midlands.
